GAIA

For a growing world

Artemis

While the nutrients for plants are undeniably essential, we mustn't overlook the hardest workers in nature. We owe them our respect and assistance wherever possible. Without their help, we would be helpless and unable to progress. Artemis ensures the well-being of bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. It monitors for illnesses and prevents one population from becoming too dominant, allowing others a chance to thrive.

Artemis has extra sensors in its flower buds to monitor the microorganisms that insects carry with them. It also identifies species using color and pattern recognition to minimize processing. This makes it easy to track the number of species. Most of the data is sent to the GAIA main system, where it is analyzed to determine if action is needed.

If GAIA decides there are too many individuals of one species, it can take action by commanding other systems to adjust nutrient distribution. For example, it might reduce the nutrients provided to a certain species to prevent it from overpopulating.
